• Visual inspection: A Gas Safe engineer will visually check the boiler for the outside.
• Flue gas analyser check: A flue gas analyser will be used to check that the burner is burning efficiently.
• Heating controls: Check that the central heating programmer, timers, and thermostats are set for operation.
• Operation and control: Test the boiler’s controls and safety devices to ensure they are working correctly.
• Ventilation: Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the boiler so that carbon monoxide doesn’t build up.
• Boiler location safety: Check the boiler’s location and proximity to combustable materials.
• Boiler components cleaning: If required, clean the heat exchanger, burner seal, and ignition pins.
• Gas tightness test: Ensure there are no gas leaks within the boiler.
• Flue: Check the soundness, routing, and terminal location of the flue.
• Condensate draining system: Check the condensate draining system for the condensing boilers.
• Electrical wiring: Inspect the electrical wiring for damage and ensure it’s correct.
